Emily Osburne has been passionate about young marriages since the day she realized she did not have all the answers about “living happily ever after.” She and Clay are self-declared opposites and were attracted to one another from day one, but they had very different ideas about what it meant to complete one another.
In 2004, Emily started praying about how to find God’s best for her marriage. She read every book she could find and she even forced Clay to read some of them. Then one day, while driving down Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta, she felt a gentle nudge from God. It was in that moment that she decided to interview “Everyday Experts” for real-life advice about marriage.
Although she had no idea where this journey would lead, Emily started asking her friends and family what they had learned about creating a phenomenal marriage. She was looking for practical, applicable tips that she and Clay could use immediately. Soon, she branched out to meet with any pair that was recommended as a GREAT couple. During the interviews, Emily's marriage, and ultimately her life, was changed forever.
In 2006, Emily published Everyday Experts on Marriage, a 10-week workbook for couples of all ages. From that moment, she has continued to look for avenues to help young couples create their best life. This includes writing for publications such as “Focus on the Family,” “Testimony” and “Score International.”
She and Clay are blessed to lead a Young Couples Sunday School Class and speak at local churches about the findings of their research. Emily even partners with AM 1570 The Light to continue the conversation about this wonderful, crazy thing we call, “marriage”.
